A former lawyer, Kevin O'Brien, SJ, is a Jesuit priest and teacher who introduces 21st century readers to the 500-year-old tradition of Jesuit spirituality. An experienced high school and college educator, he has served in a variety of roles at Georgetown University and Santa Clara University. He currently leads the first Jesuit community college on the East Coast, which is located in Bridgeport, Connecticut and is sponsored by Fairfield University. He regularly conducts spiritual retreats around the country for the young and old alike.
Winner of first prize in spirituality by the Association of Catholic Publishers in 2024, "Seeing with the Heart: A Guide to Navigating Life's Adventures" is Fr. O'Brien's second book, following his award-winning, "The Ignatian Adventure: Experiencing the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius in Daily life," published in 2011 and revised and updated in 2024. Both books introduce the Jesuit spiritual tradition to a wide audience of people seeking a deeper encounter with God and a more meaningful life.
