Jane DeNeefe

Jane DeNeefe has written a new book for the History Press, _Rocket City Rock and Soul: Huntsville Musicians Remember the 1960s_. She is coauthor of the 2010 University of Alabama Press book _Alabama's Civil Rights Trail: An Illustrated Guide to the Cradle of Freedom_ with Frye Gaillard and Jennifer Lindsay. A community columnist for the Huntsville Times in 2006,and former bookseller, she has contributed to the WLRH public radio program "Writer's Corner," Encyclopedia of Alabama, the web magazine Swampland: Cultures of the South, and other publications. DeNeefe earned her B.A. in History from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and attended Vermont College (now Union Institute and University) in Brattleboro, Vermont. She lives in Huntsville, Alabama.
