Judith Harris

Judith Harris is the author of POMPEII AWAKENED, A STORY OF REDISCOVERY (I.B. Tauris of London, 2007). A graduate of Northwestern University, she was born in Lakewood, Ohio, in 1937. For half a century she has lived and worked in Rome, Italy, as a free-lance writer with long experience in covering the Mafia, politics and the Italian cultural scene. She has contributed to Time magazine, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, and currently is a regular contributor to ARTnews and to the on-line magazine www.i-italy.org. In 2012 her book THE MONSTER IN THE CLOSET, A BUMPY RIDE DOWN THE GENEALOGY TRAIL was published by American History Press of Tennessee. A work of non-fiction, it is a family history with an edge, in which a genealogical quest becomes a thrilling portal into the shared history of Americans.
