Steven A. Johnson

A native of Jamestown, NY, Steve graduated from Jamestown High School in 1964. He enlisted in the Marines at the age of 17 and went to beautiful Parris Island. After discharge in August 1968, he joined the Jamestown Police Department. In 1982 he joined India Company, 3/25, Marine Corps Reserve, in Buffalo, NY. In 1988, after retiring from the Police Department as a Lieutenant, Steve returned to active duty with the Marines as a Staff Sergeant for a two year tour on recruiting duty in Jamestown. In 1991 after returning to drilling reserve status and promotion to Gunnery Sergeant, he was called to active duty for Operation Desert Storm until demobilization in June of 1991. Steve also served six years with the Chautauqua County, NY, Sheriff's Department.
