Gloria McMillan

Gloria McMillan is in blissful semi-retirement from teaching college writing classes in Arizona. She is a great mystery fan. In addition to her mystery fannishness, Gloria is a playwright and visual artist. She is now editing _Children of Steel_, short fiction by twenty writers who grew up in steel mill towns. This project was inspired by the ability to have a voice in culture as demonstrated in a Community Literacy graduate Writing seminar. Her group's goal on the Children of Steel fiction project to foster community feeling in our more-than-ever mobile communities. Children of Steel was published by Anaphora Literary Press on February 25, 2024. Her drawing of 1890s East End London graces the cover of _The Routledge Companion to Literature and Class_ (2021), which she edited.
