Kathleen Elliott Vinson is a Professor of Legal Writing and the Director of Legal Writing, Research and Written Advocacy at Suffolk University Law School in Boston, MA. She has published and presented extensively in the field of legal writing. She is also a leader in the legal writing field, serving on the board of directors of the Association of Legal Writing Directors, the Legal Writing Institute, and an officer of the Legal Writing, Reasoning and Research Section of the Association of American Law Schools. In addition, she co-founded the New England Legal Writing Consortium. She graduated, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and received her BA, magna cum laude, from Stonehill College. Before joining the faculty at Suffolk Law School, she clerked for Justice Howard Dana of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
