Lisa Papp was inspired by her local library's "Read-to-Dogs" program. "These former shelter dogs are now spending their lives helping children. It's a beautiful thing to watch." Many of the dogs featured in the book were once living a life on the streets or in shelters. Lisa spent the better part of a year following these wonderful dogs and their dedicated owners. "What a gift they are to our communities, I hope this story brings light to these beautiful programs." Madeline Finn and the Library Dog has raised money for local animal groups and Lisa hopes that will continue. "It's a privilege to share this book with children and share the stories of these wonderful therapy dog teams."
Lisa Papp enjoys bringing characters to life, both in words and pictures.
