Jeff Barker was born in Mendota, Illinois and grew up to become a writer and teacher. Jeff was selected as the Professor of the Year for the state of Iowa, where he teaches in the theatre program at Northwestern College. He also teaches in the doctoral program at the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. He's passionate about Christian worship, especially about reclaiming excellent presentation of the Bible within worship. His many plays include "Kin" (a finalist for the Arlin Meyer Prize) and "September Bears" (about events surrounding 9/11 and which was featured on the FOX News Channel). He created the musical "And God Said" in collaboration with Broadway composer Ron Melrose. Jeff's screenwriting credits include the "The Frontier Boys" and "Of Minor Prophets." Jeff is currently writing a series of books about the career of Arlene Schuiteman. The first of the series is "Sioux Center Sudan," released in March, 2018.
