Sue Copsey

Sue Copsey is an award-winning writer of ghost and magical adventure stories for children. She lives in New Zealand, which is disappointingly low on ghosts compared to her native England. Sue was a senior editor at Dorling Kindersley in London before moving to NZ, where she now works as a freelance writer and editor. Her 2015 title "The Ghosts of Tarawera" was the recipient of a Notable Book Award from the Storylines Children's Literature Trust. Sue has also produced many non-fiction books, including the UK Times Educational Supplement award winner "Children Just Like Me", and "Our Children Aotearoa", which also won a Notable Book Award (2012). Sue has two children and lives in Auckland. Sue also writes adult fiction under the pseudonym Olivia Hayfield. Her books are published internationally by Hachette and Penguin Random House.
