Dominique Kirchner Reill

关于作者

Dominique Kirchner Reill was born in California and raised partly in the US and partly in West Germany. She received her BA in History from UC Berkeley, and her PhD with Distinction from Columbia University. Currently she is a tenured professor at the University of Miami. Her interests in Modern European history remain consistently focused on moving the spotlight away from the stories we all know, to those we have ignored unwisely. Her first book from Stanford University Press, Nationalists Who Feared the Nation, won the book prize in Austrian History and honorable mention from the Smith Prize. Her next book, The Fiume Crisis: Life in the Wake of the Habsburg Monarchy, is coming out in 2020 with Belknap Press at Harvard University Press. Right now she is busy researching her next book, The Habsburg Mayor of New York: Fiorello LaGuardia. All her work thus far focuses on the eastern and western shores of the beautiful Adriatic Sea, the lands of today's Italy and Croatia.
