Born in Sussex England in 1948, I attended St. Catherine's College, Oxford and Surrey University. After working for British Telecom for about twenty years, in 1994 I solved my midlife crisis by moving with my wife to Greece, where I found a new career teaching English and a new spiritual home in the Orthodox Church into which we were both baptized in 2001. I live in Elounda, Crete. BOOKS: "A History of Crete." The first complete history of the island in English for 25 years. Well researched and written in a lively way, it extends from the Stone Age to the present day. "A Glimpse of Heaven," an introduction to Orthodox churches and worship for visitors to Greece, available on Kindle and as a printed version on Amazon. I have also written a guide to adult baptism for the local diocese. This is unpublished but I would be delighted to send a free e-copy to anyone interested. "Traveling Companions, Walking with the Saints of the Orthodox Church." Published by Ancient Faith Publishing (formerly Conciliar Press) and available either direct from the publisher or from Amazon.com (USA). It is also available as a Kindle e-book. The Greek translation of "Traveling Companions" published under the title "Αγιοι, οι Ουράνιοι Φίλοι" by Akritas Press of Athens is still available from bookshops in Greece. "Crowns of Barbed Wire, Orthodox Martyrs of the 20th Century" is now published in Kindle and paperback editions on Amazon. "God Among the Bunkers, the Orthodox Church in Albania under Enver Hoxha" is now published in Kindle. Paperback version to follow. Information on all published books and work in progress is available on my facebook page: www.facebook.com/chrismooreybooks. Comments, questions and feedback (positive or negative but not too much of the latter, please) welcome.
