Jeri Magg

关于作者

A freelance writer, Jeri Magg has been writing articles for local and regional newspapers and magazines for twenty-five years. A 37-year resident of Sanibel Island, she became interested in the island's history while volunteering as a docent at the Sanibel Historical Museum and Village almost twenty years ago. Having interviewed many of the earlier pioneers or their children, she decided to write a book for tourists outlining the remaining historical buildings and telling tales about their occupants. In 2011, she submitted a manuscript to History Press, "Historical Sanibel and Captiva Islands, Tales of Paradise," and it was accepted. With the use of maps and photos, visitors and residents catch a snippet of the island's history. Within a year, the book sold over 1000 copied. In 2016, Jeri published her second book, "Remarkable Women of Sanibel and Captiva." She's been giving lectures and educational talks about the history of these women over the past year. Currently, she is working on her first fiction book, "Unlikely Alliance," which takes place in California in 2064.
