Raymond Sinibaldi

关于作者

Among Raymond Sinibaldi's passions are baseball and history. His first book, The Babe in Red Stockings was published in 1997 and co-authored with David Hickey and Kerry Keene. A chronology of Babe Ruth’s time with the Red Sox, it gives an in depth account of the first five years of his remarkable career. It would be fifteen years for his second book Images of Fenway Park (2012) again co-authored with Hickey and Keene. Since then, he has produced one a year: Spring Training in Bradenton and Sarasota (2013), 1967 Red Sox, The Impossible Dream Season (2014), 1975 Red Sox American League Champions (2015). In 2016 came 61 Motivational Stories for Every Coach of Every Sport, Co-authored with longtime baseball coaches Craig Faulkner and Joe Komoaroski. The year 2017, produced John F Kennedy in New England, which was actually fifty years in the making. Captivated with the fact that his maternal grandfather, William F Kelly, served as Kennedy’s East Boston campaign secretary in 1946 and 1952; the seven year old Sinibaldi's passion was lit during Kennedy’s bid for the presidency. Devastated by the death of the President, he grew with a penchant for anything Kennedy, which would ultimately lead him to the volunteer position of docent at the JFK Library from 1989 through 1992. With the centennial of John F Kennedy’s birth approaching, Sinibaldi reflected upon the formative years of his youth and the impact President Kennedy had on his life. Within that reflection, he realized how much JFK’s life had marked and shaped his own. Thus giving birth to John F Kennedy in New England; in which he captures JFK at home with his family and friends doing what he loved the most: sailing at the tiller of a ship, playing golf, piling kids on a golf cart for a ride to the candy store, simply reading and being President. In 2018 Sinibaldi returned to his baseball roots with Modern Images of Fenway Park. With 90 photographs never before published, this takes a fresh look at America’s most beloved ballpark. Included will be insight into the making of the Ted Williams Jimmy Fund Statue, for which Sinibaldi served as consultant to sculptor Franc Talarico. On June 1, 2019 Globe Pequot Publishers released Jackie's Newport; America's First Lady and the City by the Sea. Jackie's Newport provides a fresh look at America's First Lady, unveiling the inner strength, courage and dignity of the woman who still captivates and inspires people around the globe. All woven around the backdrop of Newport, one of her favorite places. A month later Arcadia Publishing and the History Press unveiled Sinibaldi's John F Kennedy, From Florida to the Moon. Just in time to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Neil Armstrong's "Giant leap for Mankind," Sinibaldi spins the tale of the nascent days of America's space program and JFK's relationship with the Mercury 7. A regular guest on WBZ radio’s Jordan Rich Show for many years, Sinibaldi was also a part of the special Baseball From the Beginning, A History of Spring Training in Florida (see youtube links) He has twice spoken at the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Combining skills honed by 26 years in the classroom and an unbridled passion to his subject matter, Sinibaldi is available for book talks and presentations, on any of his books, at your library or organization.
