Gene and Katie Hamilton

Gene and Katie Hamilton are creators of the website Bring Binoculars about how to use binoculars for boating, birding, stargazing and traveling. They are members of the Outdoor Writers Association of America. Their latest e-book Chesapeake Bay Road Trip is available September 2024. Gene and Katie are long respected boating writers whose books include Coastal Cruising Under Power, Practical Boating Skills and Loop Cruising: Two on a Trawler. The Hamiltons have received writing awards for their work from the Boating Writers Association of America and the National Association of Real Estate Editors for their early website Do It Yourself Or Not. Today the feature continues as a weekly column syndicated by Tribune Publishing. The Hamiltons live on the eastern shore of Maryland.
