Sophie Ansel is a French writer, author and storyteller with a focus on Human rights and Environmental issues. She has been investigating and working on Burma issues since 2005 and has created several stories related to Burma ( Books, TV, Graphic Novel) . She has been campaigning and alerting about the Rohingya situation since 2011, warned about a Genocide in Burma since 2012 with her first book published on the situation that year and numerous interviews in medias. Together with french journalist Rokhaya Diallo, she campaigned in 2013 for the Rohingyas and gathered signatures from 100s worldwide personnalities ( Noam chomsky, Omar Sy, Lilian Thuram, etc. ) to raise awareness about the ethnic cleansing taking place in Burma. She has been using a variety of media to create stories with impact: VR, books, graphic novels, TV, cinema, and radio and has collaborated with worldwide artists like Jeff Orlowski (Chasing Coral), Lambert Wilson (Out of the Blue VR film) .She is the director and producer of Out of the Blue, a VR narrated by ocean explorer Sylvia Earle and french Actor Lambert Wilson and has worked on numerous VR conservation films. Raising awareness for the whales, she co-directed and co-produced "Guardians of the Kingdom" VR Film which was co-produced by Vulcan Production and Underwater Earth and narrated by Sylvia Earle. Sophie lived several years in Southeast Asia and has worked as a filmmaker, TV journalist directing pieces in Burma, Cambodia and Indonesia. She was also a field producer, photographer, and camera operator for the Sundance and Emmy award-winning film Chasing Coral.
