I'm Chair and a professor in the PhD in Organizational Leadership program at Eastern University in the United States (hchang@eastern.edu). Our program draws experienced leadership practioner-scholars from business, nonprofit, education, government, and ministry sectors around the world. Trained as an educational anthropologist, I have conducted a variety of qualitative research, inclusive of ethnography and autoethnography, on topics of leadership development, mentoring, women leadership, diversity, educational equity and justice, multicultural education, and K-12 and higher education. Currently I'm engaged in collaborative autoethnography research on the topic leadership development and reflexivity and a mixed-method study of online-based doctoral leadership education. I founded two open-access scholarly journals and am currently serving the International Journal of Multicultural Education (www.ijme-journal.org) as Editor-in-Chief. I give workshops and presentations on qualitative research methods, autoethnography, and journal publishing and editing at national and international conferences and universities. I also think when I sing, play drums, swim, travel, read, and walk!
