As an author, business owner, children's book illustrator, fine artist and classical singer, several publications have done feature articles about Katherine Larson's life and work. Her murals and commissioned paintings can be found around the globe from Florence, Italy, to museums and landmark locations in the U.S. As a classical singer, she has won many national and international awards and appeared as a guest soloist with well known orchestras and opera companies. Katherine has illustrated ten nationally distributed children's books, including the award winning "G is for Grand Canyon" published by Sleeping Bear Press. Katherine spent most of her life in the midwest in Ann Arbor, Michigan and recently moved to the Treasure Coast of Florida where she is continuing her career as a painter, graphic designer and author. A book about her life as an illustrator for the Ann Arbor Observer Magazine is entitled: "Ann Arbor Observed, The Stories Behind the Ann Arbor Observer Covers" features 22 years of cover illustrations from the Ann Arbor Observer magazine with descriptions about their creation and events surrounding them.
