David S. Luton

Dave Luton was born in the state of Virginia in 1964 and grew up in Pensacola, Florida. He has also lived in the states of Maryland, Tennessee, North Carolina, Indiana and Michigan as well as Japan and Canada (because his father was in the military). He has a teaching license in Spanish from Old Dominion University and he did his studies abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico. He taught high school Spanish for several years in Rocky Mount and Wilson in the state of North Carolina. Dave received his certificate to teach English as a foreign language (CELTA) from Cambridge University in 2008, and he has published books on learning English, Spanish, French, Italian, Catalan, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Basque and Occitan. He has also published books on self-help and philosophy. Dave currenly lives in Spain where he works as an English teacher. Dear Readers, When I originally published my books in paperback with CreateSpace (now with Amazon) over ten years ago, I used exclusively a larger 8.5 x 11 inch format due to formating difficulties. I later learned via customers' comments that some readers didn't like the larger format and there was also an issue concerning whether or not the books were a good value for one's money. To address these concerns, I have done the following: 1) I have significantly lowered the price of most of my paperbacks. 2) I have learned to publish in a smaller, more convenient format (6 x9 inch), and I am in the process of publishing smaller format versions of my paperbacks. I have recently begun (as of 2023) to publish books which contain exercises which are in the larger format (8.5 x 11 in) since they contain exercises. However, most of my other books are now in the smaller format. 3) I have made corrections and other formating improvements to many of my paperbacks and I am still in the process of doing the same to others. In some cases, I have added more material whenever possible. Furthermore, you can obtain a free sample of most books by clicking on the "send sample" button which can be read by anyone, even those who don't own a Kindle reader. In the latter case, you only have to download the free app to be able to read a Kindle book on your computer or possibly also on other devices. Lastly, for those who have previously purchased any of my books in the Kindle format, I recommend using the "sync" or "whispersync" setting or function on your Kindle device. In that way you may automatically receive the updated version of my books if I have added material or made corrections or other improvements.
