Tom Jacobs bought his first shares of stock with his father in 1968 and has been investing ever since. Raised with his parents' experience of the Crash and Great Depression, he concentrates on managing risk through value investing, emphasizing shareholder yield. While most investors see only blue skies, he focuses on the ground beneath his feet.
Tom manages individual accounts (SMAs) as an Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager with Huckleberry Capital Management, www.investhuckleberry.com. (Every Huck needs a Tom, after all.) He received his degrees from Cornell University and the University of Chicago Law School, and has been a teacher, lawyer and business owner in the US and abroad. Today he lives far from the madding crowd in Marfa, TX.
