David Ballerini wrote and directed the feature film Il Silenzio dell’Allodola (eng. tit. The Silence of the Skylark, 2005) about Irish hero and political prisoner, Bobby Sands, who died on a hunger strike in a British prison in Northern Ireland. This award winning movie was screened at Rotterdam Film Fest and took top prizes at several other festivals. In addition to his work in film, Mr. Ballerini has directed numerous commercials and industrial productions, and is a highly regarded published author. Mr. Ballerini is the technical advisor and production director of a bi-lingual international theatre company working with professional artists with credits ranging form Hollywood to Broadway Mr. Ballerini has so far published several essays, articles, poems, songs and the book “Steadicam: una rivoluzione nel modo di fare cinema” published by Falsopiano Ediz. - it was the first book worldwide about Steadicam Mr. Ballerini’s personal website as a film director: www.davidballerini.com
