Karen Hopkins was born and raised in California before moving to Chile as a teenager. After completing a university degree she worked for Pan American Airlines, based in London England, traveling through Europe, the Middle East, India, and South America. Later Karen taught Spanish and English in various interesting places: a private school in Panama, at the "most remote school in the United States"—Ticaboo, Utah, and on the Navajo Reservation to name a few! She and her husband traveled with their eight kids through Mexico and Central America, camping in the remote highlands of Chiapas, Guatemala, and El Salvador. Her writing reflects many of her life experiences. Karen currently lives and writes at home in Arizona. Happy reading!
