Kathleen Fairman is a highly proficient health care researcher, methods instructor, and journal editor with a passion for encouraging excellence in science. She enjoys showing all those affected by research evidence--whether they are formally trained in research or not--that learning about how to distinguish a good study from a bad one can be both feasible and fun. Her books and "how-to" articles about research methods make seemingly dry subject matter entertaining and a "good read." Kathleen has worked for many years as a music minister with bedbound and terminally ill nursing home patients. She has been married for more than twenty years and has three active boys and two even more active dogs, including an eccentric, large-eared terrier named "Yoda." Their home is almost always joyful, rarely completely clean, and never quiet.
