Michael Lyon has been cycling for over 40 years, and has been touring in Europe through self-guided travel since 1994. He has also toured in Asia, including a bike ride from Saigon to Hanoi. He has traveled extensively around-the-world, having visited over 90 countries for both work and pleasure. When not cycling, Mike works with companies to assist them with developing and implementing international strategic plans and business (www.lyoncapitalservices.com). Mike was also a leader in the space tourism sector, where he worked extensively on organizing the first flights of tourist who spent over $20 million to visit the International Space Station aboard Russian spacecraft (Dennis Tito and Mark Shuttleworth). Mike also served in senior posts in the U.S. government, including as the Special Assistant to L. William Seidman at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and Resolution Trust Corporation during America's Savings &Loan financial crisis. Mike received his J.D. from the Harvard Law School, and his B.A. in History from Brandeis University. He also attended the London School of Economics.
