Like my protagonist Jamie Brodie, I'm an academic librarian who enjoys a good mystery! When most kids were reading Nancy Drew, I was already into Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot. Whereas some kids had an imaginary friend, I had an entire town, and entertained myself for hours making up adventures for the people who gradually morphed into Jamie Brodie and his family. Several years ago it occurred to me that solving a crime has some similarities to answering a particularly difficult research question - we gather background information, look for clues, and eventually put the pieces of the puzzle together. I decided I'd like to read about an academic librarian who helped solve crimes through research; when I couldn't find what I was looking for, I decided to write the stories I'd like to read. Thank you all for reading!
