My name is Rose Wysocki and I live with husband near Boston. We both come from Polish families who immigrated to Massachusetts in the early 1900’s. I grew up in a family of 6 children who were all steeped in Polish traditions by our parents and grandparents. We were raised on traditional Polish cooking. From an early age my brothers, sisters and I would help stuff and seal pierogi. We had an assembly line in the kitchen! When I got older I helped my mother make different pierogi fillings.
I passed on our traditional Polish cuisine to my 4 children. They are all excellent pierogi makers and eaters!
I really enjoy combining traditional pierogi fillings with contemporary toppings, flavored butters and sauces. I also love to combine contemporary fillings with traditional pierogi dough.
When my grandchildren get a little older I plan to introduce them to the joy of Polish cooking too.
