Alina Simone

Alina Simone's features and essays have appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Guardian Long Read, Village Voice and California Sunday, among many others. She is a regular contributor to the public radio news show PRI's The World and is the author of a novel and two essay collections, the latest of which, Madonnaland, was named one of the top 10 music books of the year by Rolling Stone. She has taught non-fiction writing at Yale and lives in New York with her husband and daughter.
