Jessica Law is a children's author and science writer currently living in Cheltenham, UK. After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in Biological Sciences, she gained an insight into children's education through working as a tour guide and activity leader at Oxford University Museums, the Black Country Living Museum and Barefoot Books' former bookshop in Oxford, UK. In more recent years, she has worked in science communication, including for British charity the Soil Association global conservation organisation BirdLife International. Her articles have appeared in a wide range of publications including BirdLife Magazine, RSPB children's magazine, and even Grazia fashion magazine. Her first children's book, A Hole in the Bottom of the Sea, was published by Barefoot Books in 2013. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys writing and performing folk music and keeping pet snails.
