Dan Schwartz is a specialist in the science of learning. He taught secondary school in Kenya, inner-city Los Angeles, and Kaltag, Alaska. He returned to graduate school to gain a degree in human cognition and learning technologies. He is currently the Nomellini & Olivier Professor of Educational Technology and Dean of the Stanford University Graduate School of Education. His special niche is the ability to test and develop basic theories of human learning through the design of innovative instruction.
