Maxine Lee-Mackie

Maxine Lee Mackie (Lee) has been illustrating stuff since she could hold a crayon. Her notable early works are the walls of her bedroom, her shoes, and her Gaga's bald spot. She moved on to illustrating - and sometimes writing - children's books in 2012. Her debut 'Pi-Rat' was highly commended by the Cambridgeshire Children's Picture Book Award - 'Read It Again!'

Since then she has worked on many international children's books, both educational and fiction.

There's this sausage dog called Benny and he allows Maxine, her husband, and two boys, to live with him - and his toys - in Liverpool.
