Julia L. Wright lives in a small Colorado mountain town that is filled with natural mineral springs, holistic healers, creative chefs, writers and artists.
She created 2021 weekly planners, one for gardeners and another that combines space to reflect upon their life and goals.
A few years ago, she began writing books and has helped friends create books based on knowledge they have relating to holistic healing and great stories. Many of Julia's books are based on real life challenges and solutions.
Julia has recently created a series of Journals to help people record the positive times and adventures they experience. Each Journal has introductory material to help each writer get a feeling for the reasons they want to journal and benefits of doing this specific type of journaling. People can record their hiking and camping adventures and do some sketching and journaling in those journals. Her Gratitude Journal has inspirational quotes and place to color images and write about how grateful your are for each day and your life. She created a series of 12 journals, one for each Zodiac sign that also includes coloring pages.
Creating a more sustainable lifestyle has always been one of her passions. Her books are based on her years of natural health knowledge gained from using essential oils for a wide variety of purposes from cleaning to resolving health issues that have challenged her, and creating a sustainable Art Festival.
She was introduced to Essential Oils over 16 years ago when recovering from a bad car accident and minor concussion. She has incorporated many Essential Oils with pain relief and relaxing properties into her healing journey begun many years ago. She wrote a book for beginning aromatherapists about how to use single essential oils.
Julia has also created a variety of meditations and mental “games” to distract one from a painful body or vanquish worrisome thoughts that try to get in the way of falling asleep quickly. These experiences are also in the process of become another book or journal. The Sleep Journal can be used to help people discover ways to sleep better at night and has some of these suggestions in it.
Photography is a creative interest she pursues on all her hikes and travels around the country and world. Capturing unique views of everyday items or the hidden beauty in rocks and driftwood or a beautiful flower is her goal. Many photos have found their way into her books to help illustrate an idea. A few years ago, she fell down a rabbit hole of creative energy and began creating surreal art work by abstracting small pieces of her nature photos and creating very intriguing prints. A book filled with these is in progress. Calendars and prompt books will be created using many of these images will be available in the new year.
Currently her creative side, when not writing, is focused on creating fun and transformational feathered Fantafaces masks. She also creates feathered hair clips, pendants and earrings and enjoys incorporating found objects into some of these.
