关于作者

Dana Holyfield is from Slidell, Louisiana. Her first cookbook, "Swamp Cookin' with the River People," was published in 1999 by Ten Speed Press, who also published the sequel, "More Swamp Cooking." These two novelty cookbooks are not just recipe books. They have comical short stories and a lot of pictures that show the unique way of life in Honey Island Swamp. Dana went on to self-publish several other Cajun themed cookbooks -- her latest is "Swamp Country Cooking." Besides cookbooks, Holyfield's book and documentary film about the legendary Honey Island Swamp Monster has led her to many guest appearances on TV shows such as The Travel Channel's, "Mysteries At The Museum", the Sci-Fi Channel's, "Fact or Faked," "Swamp People," "Book TV," and "Hannity's America on Fox," to name a few. She wrote about the legend because it was her grandfather who first reported a sighting back in 1974 when he appeared on "In Search Of." Holyfield has also launched a line of children's books for the Swampy Tales Book Club for Kids. Although she has self-published many different genres of books, her passion is writing movie screenplays that she hopes ends up on the screen one day.
