Athena L McConnell

Award-winning poet, Athena L. McConnell, is the author of The Love Letter and the Silver Ring, All Grandparents are Secret Superheroes, and Mirror Self: A Collection of Poetry and Short Stories. McConnell was born and raised in San Pedro, California, and is an alumna of the University of Central Missouri, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice.

McConnell's next project involves adapting The Love Letter and the Silver Ring into a screenplay, as well as writing a novel about her grandfather's five-year experience as a POW at Stalag II-B in Poland during World War II.

Athena L. McConnell leads a private life in Kansas City, Missouri, and currently does not maintain any public social media accounts.
