Joshua Legg is a performer, choreographer, theatre director, writer, and head of Wilson College’s MFA in choreography, creative writing, interdisciplinary arts, theatre directing, directing and choreography for musical theatre, and visual arts. The 107 dances he has choreographed and directed span site-specific works, concert and dancetheatre, multimedia films, musical theatre, opera, and performance art. Legg also directs and devises straight theatre. He has taught students from 3 years old to 70, and has served as a master teacher and guest lecturer/speaker for ACDA conferences, ADF’s Paul Taylor Project, the Dance Teacher Summit, and various universities, preprofessional and private studios, community arts programs, and high schools—he also recently served as an adjudicator for Baltimore’s AKIMBO site-specific dance festival. His book, Introduction to Modern Dance Techniques, grew out of his writing for Dance Teacher and Dance Spirit magazines. (The book is available in English, French, and Italian.)
