Robert F. O'Neill

Bob O'Neill is the author of three books, concerning Civil War cavalry operations in Northern Virginia. His most recent book, Small but Important Riots, The Cavalry Battles of Aldie, Middleburg, and Upperville, is a completely new edition of his first book, and reflects thirty years of continuing research and interpretation. A retired law enforcement officer and instructor, he lives with his wife in Virginia's Northern Neck. He also maintains a related blog, smallbutimportantriots.com.
