Donna Weiss, PhD, is an author and consultant in the areas of interpersonal communication, group dynamics and leadership who works with academic programs and health organizations in interprofessional curriculum development and team building. Dr. Weiss helps her clients use positive communication to engage imaginations, broaden possibilities and empower action for personal, professional and organizational sustainability and growth.
Dr. Weiss is a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association and is certified as a coach/consultant in Appreciative Inquiry and Whole System IQ. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University, her Master of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy from New York University and her doctorate in organizational development from Temple University.
Dr. Weiss has been active in professional organizations at the state and national levels, served as a pediatric clinician, a consultant to school systems and state departments of education, a health professions educator and academic administrator. She is emeritus faculty in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, College of Public Health at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Currently, she serves as a project advisor/mentor for the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER)in Philadelphia, PA.
