Jeromy Hopgood is a theatrical designer and educator living in Michigan. He received his MFA in scenic and lighting design from the University of Arkansas and has served as a university professor since 2003. Jeromy brings almost two decades of professional work to the stage - having designed scenery, lighting, projections, and sound for professional theatres across the country. He worked at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in its Tony-Award-Winning season alongside numerous Broadway designers and is currently an Artistic Associate for the Michigan Shakespeare Festival. In addition to his freelance work, Jeromy is a Professor at Eastern Michigan University where he created the Entertainment Design & Technology program. This multidisciplinary program is one of the only of its kind in the country. Jeromy regularly participates in master classes, guest lectures, and panel presentations in numerous locations across the country, is a long-standing member of the United States Institute of Theatre Technology, and a regular presenter at Live Design International (LDI).
