The author holds degrees from: The Ohio State University; Iowa State University, and The Instytut Zootechniki, in Krakow, Poland. He started as a data analyst at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center. He then became Manager of the Statistics Laboratory, in the Department of Statistics, at the Ohio State University, where he worked under Professor D. Ransom Whitney (of the Mann-Whitney Test). Later he became Chief Statistical Consultant and Senior Computer Specialist at the University’s Academic Computing Services. After retiring, he accepted the position of Senior Education Consultant with SAS Institute at their European Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany. Most recently, he served as Principal Statistician with the international clinical trials consulting firm, Quanticate, in their Warsaw, Poland office. He frequently worked with statisticians and mathematicians of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. The most recent collaboration was on the book: Grade Models and Methods for Data Analysis, published by Springer, in 2004.
