Mark Hayes

Mark Hayes is an expert in marketing, communications, social media, ecommerce, public and media relations, content marketing, and advertising. Coming from a background in journalism, Mark is an acclaimed writer who has written for some of Canada’s top publications. Mark was a political and cultural commentator for Ottawa Life Magazine and a food and restaurant reviewer for multiple national magazines. He has also written hundreds of feature articles for Urban Male Magazine, Canada’s largest and longest running men’s magazine. In 2010, Mark moved away from journalism and joined the marketing and growth department at Shopify – the fastest growing ecommerce platform in the world. Shopify allows individuals and businesses to easily create a beautiful and powerful online store. Mark currently lives in Toronto, Canada. He enjoys restoring and repairing pinball machines, trying new hot sauces, travelling and drinking coffee.
