Jeremy C. Holm

关于作者

Hi readers, my name is Jeremy C. Holm and I am an American bobsled athlete and coach, military historian, journalist, keynote speaker, graphic designer and advertising consultant. I wear a lot of hats (and helmets), but have loved every minute of my adventurous life. I was born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania right outside Valley Forge and grew up playing soccer and baseball in Oklahoma. Then my family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where I took up drag racing (it explains all the speeding tickets) before I began the exciting winter sport of bobsled in January of 1997 on the Park City, Utah 2002 Winter Olympic track. After that fateful ride down the course, I went on to train and race in both two- and four-man bobsled. Then in 2009 I was asked to coach the United States Adaptive Bobsled Team which allowed me to develop and coach some of the world's first Paralympic bobsled athletes. I am also the Team Captain of Team Phoenix Bobsled, a group of athletes that use bobsled to help others find second chances in life. After high school, I put my bobsled training on hold for two years to serve a Christian mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the countries of Honduras and Belize before attending Brigham Young University (BYU) and Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) where I graduated in Print Journalism. I did make SLCC's President's List for academic achievement which proves that some athletes are smart! After spending over fifteen years researching World War II and my grandfather's parachute unit, I am currently pursuing a degree in Military History at the American Military University. In 2008 I formed The Athlete Outreach Project (AOP), an organization designed to use the influence of Olympic and world-class athletes and hopefuls to inspire others, serve in the community, spread hope and assist non-profit organizations in their causes. I currently reside in Salt Lake City, Utah where I enjoy the great outdoors in my spare time, including camping, hiking, four-wheeling, boating, swimming, climbing, biking, kayaking and target shooting. I guess at the end of the day you could say I bleed red, white and blue. I do love this country and have been honored to represent it in bobsled and represent and serve our veterans frequently.
