Since 2010 Bill Dyer has led programs in prisons to help create safer communities with fewer crime victims. His work with offenders and victims of violence is grounded in his experience of being robbed and shot at an ATM on his way to work. After getting stuck in a prison of anger and resentment, Bill eventually found new life through healing and forgiveness. Before leading programs to help crime victims and offenders find healing, Bill graduated from divinity school after working for several years as a professional speaker and seminar leader. Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, Bill graduated from Tulane University in 1983 with a degree in Geology. In his twenties and thirties, he worked on oil rigs in the Rocky Mountains, managed exploration crews along the Louisiana-Texas Gulf Coast and West Africa, and worked for DuPont selling commercial explosives to the mining and construction industries. Bill has always enjoyed writing. He published his first book, When Life Blows You Down, in 2003.
