关于作者

Martin Smith was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He graduated with honors from Michigan State University (BA Political Science) and from the London School of Economics and Political Science (MS International Relations).

His first publication Normative Issues in International Relations: Bridging the Communitarian/Cosmopolitan Divide addresses the core questions surrounding the origins of human rights, morality and state autonomy in international politics. He reviews two major schools of thought in International Relations (Communitarianism and Cosmopolitanism) and presents an alternative approach by introducing the concept of trickle up morality.

In his free time, Martin enjoys travelling the world, seeking lost treasures and collecting artifacts. His adventures led him to his second publication Seek and Ye Shall Find, a successfully concluded treasure hunt. Contained within this brief memoir are several clues and a poem that, when deciphered, led to a hidden cache somewhere in the Midwest. The treasure hunt has been solved and the prize has been claimed, but the book is still available. See if you can solve it yourself (full solution is available at readandseek.com).

His most recent publication is a devotional inspired by his patron saint, St. Ephrem the Syrian. Embark on a 40 day journey through St. Ephrem's Homily on Our Lord. Great for Lent or any other time of the year!
