Tamir Turgal is a writer, jurist, public speaker and ex-smoker. While engaged in an in depth research project which led to his own personal quitting, he unearthed a unique way to set free from the distressing addiction to smoking by using exactly the same tools that created and sustained the addiction. The 'Smokefree way' focuses on understanding the components of the addiction, creating an awareness of its physical and mental aspects which are the foundations of actually quitting. The program was developed and tried in the framework of a controlled setting over the course of about three years before it was launched commercially. This process was conducted in a way that closely resembles the usual food and drug administrations' accepted procedures.
