John Archibald

John is a Professor of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Arthur B. McDonald Research Chair of Excellence at Dalhousie University. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. John's lab uses molecular tools to study the patterns and processes of gene exchange in microorganisms. He is the author of 170 scientific publications and has published two books, One Plus One Equals One: Symbiosis and the Evolution of Complex Life (2014) and Genomics: A Very Short Introduction (2018).
