Though I had originally intended to only get a DVM, I earned three degrees from the Ohio State University. The Master's Degree, which I was paid to get, ended up being very important for the research I eventually became involved in. I worked just over three years as a veterinary medical officer for the USDA before resigning to homeschool our four children full time on my husband's income. Since high school, I have been interested in creation-related issues and their relevance to understanding the world and living a consistent Christian life. Now that our children are grown, I am deeply involved in creation research. I have contributed numerous articles to creation journals, magazines and websites, and serve as a board member for the Creation Research Society. I also belong to the Creation Biology Society. I had the privilege of being involved in research on created kinds as part of Answers in Genesis’ Ark Encounter project. I work as an adjunct instructor with Liberty University Online, where I teach biology and creation studies. I thoroughly enjoy digging into the scientific literature (PubMed is my playground) because biology makes much more sense when one starts with a correct view of origins and natural history, the basics of which God provides for us in Genesis.
