John Adams-Graf ("JAG") has been collecting military relics since he was a little boy. After obtaining his MA in Museum Studies from Eastern Illinois University, he worked in the museum profession for many years before becoming editor of Military Trader and Military Vehicles Magazine where he shared his musings on the world of military relic and historic military vehicle collecting in his every-other-week blog, "The JAG File." In 2022, he became the editor of History in Motion, the bi-monthly journal of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association. In addition, he manages his one small publishing/media concern, Crooked Creek Publishing, LLC. A self-proclaimed scholar of the Mexican-American War (1846-48), JAG continues his research in a variety of areas, including the origins of the American Tank Corps during WWI, early photographic processes, and the American Civil War.
