I love adventures. We lived in Colorado for 30 years provided ample opportunity to find those adventures. We did a lot of four-wheeling around the state as well as camping and hiking. There's just so much to do and experience. And really, where ever you live, look for the adventure where you're planted.
We have a love for photography so the wildlife encounters just enhance our adventures. I was chased by a bull elk one fall while standing in my own yard taking pictures. So thankful for a tall fence. We've had a flat tire at 11,000 feet in elevation. That was an interesting pickle. We've been on Engineer Pass in a rain storm and slid backwards down a slate hill which was quite scary. On a hike on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park, we came through the brush and branches only to find ourselves looking at a huge bull moose standing in the water. We also had quite an adventure in 2013 when flood waters were rising in Colorado.
My hubby was also a firefighter and EMT for many years, so we have other adventures that have come into play including surviving a tornado that wiped out half of our community in MN in 1983.
We recently moved to the great state of Texas so we can enjoy the adventure of seeing our grandchildren more often. We anticipate even more adventures. And fun!
With all of this going on in our lives, writing stories about our adventures and creating new ones in my imagination utilizing the experiences we've had is a real hoot. I hope to continue sharing the fun of getting out there and finding the adventures no matter where you live. It's there! Just look for it.
