Dennis Cappel

Dennis Cappel’s "Ride Your Picture" technique helps riders to develop effective timing and feel through the process of visualization. According to Dennis, “your picture should be so clear that your horse sees it,” and “when you have in your mind what you want your horse to do and when, you will have everything you need for effective timing and feel, so that your horse steps into your picture to freedom and comfort.” Using his Ride Your Picture technique, Dennis has earned many recent equestrian titles, including Reserved Champion, 2016 Extreme Mustang Makeover in Sedalia, MO; 2016 Colt Starting Champion at the Iowa Equine Fair; 2015 Extreme Mustang Makeover St. Louis Champion; and 2015 Heartland Horseman's Challenge Champion. Dennis has spent 30 plus years both on horses in the saddle and underneath them as a farrier, ensuring that his horses and others are in balance so that they can perform up to their potential. Known as “results coaches,” Dennis and his wife Cindy have a horse training and shoeing learning center, offering classes and training for both beginning and experienced riders. Their students learn to always start with the winner’s mindset, in order to position themselves for success.
