Susan Reiss is an award-winning author specializing in historical fiction and mysteries.
She trained as a concert pianist then was a television writer/producer for many years. Her work received a New York International Film Festival Silver Medal, the Cine Golden Eagle, three Tellys, and a national Emmy nomination.
Then she moved to St. Michaels on the Maryland Eastern Shore and began writing murder mysteries and historical fiction set in that village. It is only 90 minutes from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, but a very different world.
Recently, the books in her IN Time series have ranked in the Top 100 in their categories including Top 100 Bestsellers in Historical Fiction. They have won two Gold Medals for Historical Fiction-Mystery and the Gold Medal for Best Fiction Series in the national Bookfest Awards. In 2015, Susan was named Scribe of the Eastern Shore.
