S. K. Bain

From 1995-2001, S.K. Bain was art director of the Weekly Standard magazine, which at the time was published by Rupert Murdoch's NewsCorp America. Bain worked in Washington, D.C., with former top Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson and New York Times columnist David Brooks among other journalistic luminaries, at one of the most influential political publications in the capital of the most powerful nation in the history of the world. During part of that time, the now-infamous Project for the New American Century was co-located with the publication, and next door was the Philanthropy Roundtable, where Bain art directed for Philanthropy magazine. The Roundtable was then under the leadership of John P. Walters, who went on to become President George W. Bush's Drug Czar. Prior to this, Bain was art director for the Oxford American magazine during the mid-nineties when it was published by best-selling author John Grisham and located in Oxford, MS.
