Marie Vareille was born in France in 1985 and now lives in the Netherlands with her husband and two daughters. Her bestseller, "La vie rêvée des chaussettes orphelines", was translated in many countries and has sold more than 200,000 copies in France. The book was awarded Charleston Readers' Prize in 2020.
She has received numerous prizes in YA literature for her trilogy "Elia la Passeuse d'âmes" and her YA novel "Le syndrome du spaghetti" was awarded the French Babelio Prize in 2021.
